I've just spent several days fighting with technology
to upgrade Mackerel Street, ultimately being forced to move my entire site to
a new account. I'll spare you the details of my dumpster dive into the
depths of perl, php, and god-knows-what, but I will say that this
better be f*%$g worth it. I probably lost five good chapters figuring
out that my version of perl is exactly POINT ONE versions behind God's
preferred support level.
If
you are one of the lucky ones who has no idea what "Perl" is, or you
think it is something to do with a story by John Steinbeck, then
God bless you, techless one. This Buddha is for you.
As for the rest of the site, we will push on with more posts on the writing life, more photography, and whatever else we discover along the way.
